Protected clipboards require a secret passphrase set at creation. Without this password, neither the web interface nor automated bots can read or render the snippets or download files. Password hashes are verified cryptographically on the server with secure algorithms.

How do 6-digit codes and custom vanity URLs work?+
Every clipboard is automatically assigned a random, memorable 6-digit numeric identifier (such as 849201). Additionally, registered users can specify a custom slug (such as my-project-notes). Both can be entered directly into the homepage search bar or accessed via `?c=CODE`.
Is registration required to create or view clipboards?+
No. Guests can create and share clipboards immediately without signing up. Free account registration is optional and unlocks multi-folder management, activity logs, active session tracking, and 30MB persistent cloud storage.
